Israel reveals underground defense secret against Hamas-holes

Hamas-hole
Over the weekend Israel discovered and destroyed the longest, deepest terror tunnel that extends into Israeli territory. In the aftermath, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) revealed a "laboratory" where they use advanced technology to detect these 'Hamas-holes', The Times of Israel reported Sunday.

This was the fifth Hamas-hole found and destroyed in the past few months.

The Israeli laboratory is run by an IDF officer known as "Captain B." He has a background in electrical engineering and chemistry and is the guy responsible for locating and destroying the five Hamas-holes.

The last Hamas-hole was considered "ready for use" by the IDF and since it was connected to a system of tunnels, it could have potentially been used by a virtual army of terrorists to infiltrate Israel and kill Jewish men, women and children.

It's a Quran mandate.

Some IDF intelligence sources believe that the recent Hamas-led riots in the area were orchestrated to divert attention from the tunnels and illustrate the terror group's total military and political control of Gaza.

According to The Times of Israel, Hamas has switched to staging riots after the successful deployment of Iron Dome to counter the threat of rockets, and the laboratory, which has been effective in countering the threat of infiltration by the Hamassholes using the Hamas-holes.

The IDF will use sensors deployed around the perimeter of Gaza by the end of next year to protect against infiltration by jihadists. This will include above and below ground barriers and is estimated to cost $3.5 billion.

That's a boat-load of shekels.

Former Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon stated that Israel is the "world leader" in defending borders. [Ironically, the U.S.A. is taking up the rear, but has invested $120 million in Israeli technology to detect underground activity to protect the border with Mexico.]

"This was clearly a terror tunnel that connected to other tunnels in the Gaza Strip," IDF Spokesman Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus said. "It extended into Israel and violated Israeli sovereignty."

The IDF had been monitoring the tunnel system and only acted when the tunnel crossed into Israeli territory, "tens of meters" from the southern Israeli community of Nahal Oz.

The Hamasshole diggers were trying to build an exit to the tunnel when the IDF blew it to smithereens.

"The violent riots that have been taking place in the area of the security fence are an attempt to mask the terror attacks intended to take place above and below ground," the IDF spokesman tweeted.
