Sen. Al Franken's history of being sleazy

Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) is accused of forcibly kissing an LA TV host and groped her while she slept. There is a photo of the latter (see below) of the incident, which was allegedly taken by Franken's brother, Owen, and occurred in 2006.

Leeann Tweeden, a California TV host and sports radio broadcaster posted a blog detailing the alleged incident and she tweeted a photo of Franken standing over her as she slept, apparently pretending to grab her breasts as he wore a stupid grin.

Franken's response was that he didn't recall the kissing incident but apologized for posing in the picture, which Tweeden said took place during a USO Tour in Afghanistan.

Franken wrote a sketch for the tour in which his character kisses Tweeden on stage. She said he repeatedly pressured her to practice the kiss backstage and at one point forcibly kissed her.

She said she wanted to punch him at the time, but held back. "I immediately pushed him away with both of my hands against his chest and told him if he ever did that to me again, I wouldn't be so nice about it the next time," she wrote. "I walked away. All I could think about was getting to a bathroom as fast as possible to rinse the taste of him out of my mouth."

It is rumored that Franken's kisses taste like camel dung.

A photographer (allegedly Owen, his brother) snapped a photo of what appears to be a sleeping Tweeden, still in her flak vest and Kevlar helmet, and Franken appearing to grab her breasts.

This isn't Al Franken's first sexual misconduct rodeo (imagine if they actually had rodeos for that) in which he has made crude remarks.

In 1995 he joked about raping Leslie Stahl in a New York Magazine article discussing a skit he was working on for "Saturday Night Live" (SNL). The skit involved drugging and raping Stahl, a CBS reporter.

Franken was allegedly a comedian at the time and said his skit involved "60 Minutes" commentator Andy Rooney finding an empty pill bottle on his desk.

"I give the pills to Leslie Stahl. Then when Leslie is passed out, I take her to the closet and rape her.' Or "That's why you never see Leslie until February.' Or, 'When she passes out, I put her in various positions and take pictures of her," Franken was quoted as saying.

In a 2000 Playboy piece, Franken spoke about fantasizing a machine that would perform oral sex on him. What a creative guy.

He was attacked politically in his 2008 run for the Senate with that Playboy article, and Republican women gathered to demand Franken explain himself (liberal women are all too familiar with what such a machine does), and he eventually apologized for his crude remarks. But he subsequently wrote in his book, "Al Franken: Giant of the Senate," that he faked the apology to get the needed support for his election win.

So it's fair to say that Franken could very well be faking his apology to Ms. Tweeden this time.

"To say I was sorry for writing a joke was to sell out my career, to sell out who I'd been my entire life," the scum crumpet said in the book. "And I wasn't sorry that I had written Porn-o-Rama or pitched that stupid Lesley Stahl joke at 2 in the morning. I was just doing my job."

That's what the guards said at Auschwitz after the death camp was liberated.

In his second apology to Leeann Tweeden, Franken used some of the same comments that he made when he wrote about Stahl and the oral sex machine.
