US imam asks Allah to "annihilate" Jews

Imam Ammar Shahin gave a sermon at the Islamic Center of Davis, California on Friday and asked Allah to liberate the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Israel from "the filth of the Jews." His anti-Semitic words, which would be called hate speech if it were against Islam instead of the Jews, were translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute and cited an Islamic text calling for a Judgment Day fight between Muslims and Jews.

Specifically the scripture says: "Oh Allah, count them one by one and annihilate them down to the very last one. Do not spare any of them," which Shahin quoted, speaking in Arabic and English during his hateful sermon. "Oh Allah, make this happen by our hands. Let us play a part in this. Oh Allah, let us support them in words and in deeds."

Jewish groups have rightfully asked Homeland Security and the U.S. Attorney's office to investigate this imam who asks his congregation to take part in the slaughter.

A video of the sermon was posted on the Islamic Center of Davis' YouTube channel on Friday. Excerpts were translated and posted on the MEMRI website.

The Al-Aqsa Mosque is on a holy site for Jews and Muslims in East Jerusalem. On July 14, 2017 three Arab terrorists killed two Israeli police officers. The shrine was closed for a few days in the aftermath of the Islamic attack and new security measures using metal detectors were put into place to prevent more attacks.

So of course the Palestinians protested the metal detectors claiming that Israel was trying to expand its control over the holy site. And the way Palestinians protested the metal detectors was to prove how much they are needed: some of the worst street clashes in years broke out.

In a statement on its website, the Islamic Center of Davis stood behind Shahin and his words, saying it was taken out of context.

In other words, they are saying that if you look at the entire context of Shahin's sermon, you will see that when he called for the annihilation of all the Jews, he didn't really mean Jews, or he didn't actually mean annihilation. Just look at his sermon, analyze his words, and see for yourself what the context was.

Nowhere does the scumquat's words explain anything other than his call for killing Jews. Nowhere. That's what full context is--the entire sermon.

To cover their butts, the ICD came out with a statement known as 'taqiyya': "The ICD will always stand against anti-Semitism similarly to how the Jewish community has always stood against Islamophobia in our close knit community," the balderdash statement said. "We have zero tolerance for anti-Semitism or any other form of bigotry."

No, they haven't. If they had zero tolerance they would have admonished the a-hole immediately. But they couldn't because all he was doing was using Islamic scripture, which happens to be anti-Semitic because Mohammed was anti-Semitic.

The taqiyya continued: "MEMRI, an extremist agenda driven organization that supports Israel's occupation of Palestinian land, and other Islamophobic news organizations, accused Imam Shahin of anti-Semitism, quoting edited, mistranslated, passages of the sermon out of context."

Except they didn't.

And there is no such thing as 'Islamophobia'. It's a word used to shut us up, to make us feel like racists over something that has nothing to do with race, but with an angry ideology.

A phobia is an irrational fear. Being afraid of Islamic terrorism isn't irrational--it's reality. And being born a Jew in today's society must be quite difficult even in American culture where anti-Semitism has become cocktail conversation.

Free speech includes what leftists call 'hate speech'. The First Amendment protects that and it should. But this imam is going beyond what the left calls hate speech--he is calling for violence and that needs to be dealt with.

ICD had to go through verbal calisthenics to try explaining away Shahin's words, but the meaning is crystal clear and calls for violence.

The Simon Wiesenthal Center, an international Jewish human rights organization in Los Angeles, has called upon the DHS to investigate the imam for "inciting to murder Jews."

Probably nothing will be done.
