The sliming continues with Joe, Mika and Donald

A top White House aide never suggested a quid pro quo during a call with Joe Scarborough regarding a scheduled National Enquirer story, an anonymous source we'll call Vinny Boombots, told Fox News. This is despite Scarborough's claims that a Trump adviser attempted to blackmail him into giving positive coverage to President Trump.

Scarborough, a past conservative whose conversion to liberalism was initiated through his man parts and Mika Brzezinski, made the allegation on Friday's "Morning Joe," a morning cable TV show with over 1,000 viewers without jobs.

Joe and his squeeze Mike provided a crazy-fierce tweet response to a pair of tweets Trump tweeted on Twitter directed at the MSNBC co-habitating hosts the previous day.

But Vinny, who is familiar with the Scarborough situation, called senior adviser Jared Kushner, with whom Scarborough was friendly with,  to ask about a National Enquirer article scheduled to run in early June about the relationship between Scarborough and Brzezinski, who have since announced their engagement.

Joe asked Jared if there was anything that could be done about the article, Vinny said, given Donald's friendship with Dave Pecker (his friends call him 'Pecker'), the chief executive of the Enquirer's parent company, American Media.

Jared allegedly told Joe that the former GOP congressman needed to talk to Donald himself about the situation, to which Joe said that Donald was angry at him.

Vinny said that Jared answered, "Well, then maybe you should apologize."

Though Joe and Mika were initially criticized for being too palsy walsy with Donald during the GOP presidential primaries, the friendship eventually soured with Joe and Mika becoming harsh critics of Donald--even going so far as to question his mental health. (It's rumored that Joe took Psych 101 in college.)

Joe described the conversation a lot differently on "Morning Joe," saying a top presidential aide threatened him with a negative story unless he stopped being so negative about Donald, implying Donald's team was blackmailing him. Of course, Joe never identified the aide to whom he 'conversated' with.

However, Vinny who spoke to Fox news said there wasn't anything in the conversation between Jared and Joe to suggest a quid pro quo or an in hoc signo vinces, or even blackmail. It was simply that if Joe wanted to get back on speaking terms with Donald, perhaps an apology was in order, or a kissing of a ring or something in lieu of that.

After "Morning Joe" ended, Donald tweeted to deny Joe's charge:
"Watched low rated @Morning_Joe for first time in long time. FAKE NEWS. He called me to stop a National Enquirer article. I said no! Bad show."

Meanwhile, North Korea continues to work on its ballistic missile program, ISIS is fighting in Mosul, Russia is hacking our industries, and the healthcare bill is still unresolved.

Sad!
