Rep. Lewis and the delusions of the left

It wasn't because she was perhaps the most suckworthy presidential candidate to ever disgrace the campaign stage. Nor did it have anything to do with the fact that she referred to anyone who refused to vote for her "a basket of deplorables." No, the reason that Hillary Clinton lost the election to Donald Trump was due to the Russians.

"The Russians are hacking! The Russians are hacking!"

This is, of course, delusional, but that isn't stopping at least seven leftist members of Congress from boycotting the inauguration.

One of those leftists is Rep. John Lewis, a civil rights icon from days gone by.

Lewis told Meet the Press that he doesn't believe Trump is a "legitimate president," saying the alleged Russian hack of the DNC was "interference" in the election and that the "Russians participated in helping this man get elected. And they helped destroy the candidacy of Hillary Clinton."

Why would the Russians want Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton? That is the real question.

Clinton, on March 6, 2009, presented Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov with a red button with the English word "reset" and the Russian word "peregruzka" meaning "overload." She thought it was a reset button for the two countries to become friends once more. In spite of her incompetent screwup, Lavrov took the button to mean just that.

Trump never gave Lavrov the time of day.

Obama's open mic with Russian President Medvedev before his second term election says that after the election he'll have "more flexibility." That was to be passed on to Putin which Medvedev said he would do.

Trump never said anything like that to any Russian official.

But Clinton was supposed to be the "clean-up hitter" for Obama. Everyone knew that who voted for her.

So why would Russia want Trump over Clinton? It really makes no sense--if they hacked the DNC, it wasn't for the purpose of Trump winning, it was because Putin wanted to embarrass her.

No voting machine was hacked.

For a member of Congress to call this election illegitimate is disgusting, or extremely laughable, depending on your level of schadenfreude. Lewis has not one iota of evidence to back up his claim that Clinton lost because of the email release, whose authenticity, by the way, was never challenged.

Hillary Clinton was perfectly capable of screwing up her own chances of not winning the election. She was so arrogant and sure of the win that she didn't campaign in those blue states that went red on her. She was not trusted, had no obvious platform, her private server illustrated her arrogance and incompetence, and she was largely disliked by most people.

It's actually kind of delightful to see how upset the left has become over Hillary's loss. Their tears of "pain and suffering" make me smile and, at times, even giggle.

Trump wasn't my first choice for POTUS, but Hillary Rotten Clinton was my absolute last.
