Scout gets 4 years, Hillary gets free pass

Christopher Correa, a former baseball scout for the St. Louis Cardinals, was sentenced to four years in prison Monday for hacking the database of the Houston Astros' player personnel and email system. 

It's a case of high-tech cheating to which Correa had pleaded guilty to five counts of unauthorized access of a protected computer from 2013 to 2014. 

Correa was fired last summer and ordered to pay the approximate equivalent to a 20-minute Hillary Clinton speaking fee of $279,038 in restitution. He's not quite as lucky as Hillary Clinton, but he faced up to five years in prison for each count and is only getting four years in the slammer. That's a relatively good deal for him.

Of course, Hillary was even luckier by getting a scolding without an indictment, but let's face it, Christopher Correa is no Hillary Clinton--he confessed to his wrongdoing.

The shamed former scout is free on bond and will report to the federal slammer in six weeks.

Correa read a heartfelt letter in court before his sentencing by U.S. District Judge Lynn N. Hughes, who admittedly, is no James Comey. 

Correa said he was "overwhelmed with remorse and regret for my actions" that cost him his career and his home. Hillary is overwhelmed with joy that she got away with it on her end.

"I violated my values and it was wrong. I behaved shamefully," he said. "The whole episode represents the worst thing I've done in my life by far."

But is the personal email server the worse thing Hillary has ever done in her life so far? 

Probably not.

Hughes said Correa's actions were mainly about a loss of trust and admitted that in spite of the episode, as a woman, she is still voting for Hillary Clinton for President, "because if she can get away scot-free with her email server situation and compromise the national security, she can get away with anything, and that's what we need in a president. That and a uterus."


Cardinals Chairman Bill DeWitt Jr. blamed the hack on "roguish behavior" by a few people who may have been influenced by the outcome handed down by James Comey in his decision not to advise indicting Mrs. Clinton.

DeWitt said in an interview, "That poor bas**rd Correa figured he wasn't doing anything wrong compared to what the former Secretary of the freaking State was doing. Boy, was he surprised when the judge threw the book at him. Let's face it, he's no Hillary Clinton."
