San Francisco City Supervisor fears being strafed by Blue Angels

John Avalos, a San Francisco leftist lawmaker wants to ban America' Blue Angels fighter jets from being able to fly over his city and, as he said, "strafe neighborhoods." It's obvious that Avalos doesn't know what strafe means, or else he is using hyperbole to scare people.

Avalos, the City Supervisor, has waged "war" with the Blue Angels and their incredibly choreographed aeriel acrobatics over San Francisco. He once called them loud "killing machines." The ignorant Avalos has introduced non-binding legislation to require them to only fly over the bay, where people won't get scared because they won't get a good view of the show.

He said that the ban over the city is to protect residents and give them piece of mind. I suspect if America was invaded by jihadist barbarians, the jets flying over the city would give him and residents piece of mind.

Avalos, a Democrat (if you haven't already figured that out) has an undergraduate degree in English and a masters in social work--in other words, he has little marketable skills other than government. His parents divorced when he was young, and this may have soured him toward men in the military.

According to Wikipedia in the Personal Life section, Avalos is a third generation Moron, but it may be a typo--very hard to tell.

"It's about them crashing and hitting a building--a place where people live," Avalos told the San Francisco Chronicle. "It's about the terror that they cause in people when they strafe neighborhoods.  That's something I hear about all the time when Blue Angels fly overhead."

Avalos doesn't know the meaning of "strafe." No machine guns are mounted on the F-18s and the Blue Angels have never killed anyone. For a guy who majored in English, he needs to use the dictionary when he uses words that scare him.

Obviously, Wikipedia got it right.
