Dreams of his communist fathers, uncles and Alinsky

Fulfilling his dream and the dream of his father, President Obama arrived in Cuba where he plans to discuss "Communist Cool"business with Raul Castro, Cuba's President for Life.

Castro did not greet Obama at the airport, but most world leaders also refuse to give him the respect he has yet to earn. Standing in front of a Che Guevera billboard, (Che was a communist strong arm for the Castros who tortured and killed for the cause of communist Cuba) Obama spoke and it would have made both his communist parents proud as well as "Uncle Frank."

Whether that is Frank Marshall Davis, a card-carrying Communist, or Frederick "Delano" Newman, a lifelong socialist and activist, both would have been proud of Obama, the first communist president to visit a communist dictatorship.

Oh, and his mother, another communist, would have also been proud.

Castro has directly challenged Obama to lift more restrictions on the island and give them back the land we use for our naval base in Guantanamo Bay. If the deal Obama did with Iran is any indication of how this so-called president negotiates, he will give back Guantanamo and throw in Florida, if he could.

"This is a new day," Obama said, as he stood alongside Raul at Havana's Palace of the Revolution. He was obviously correct--Monday was a new day and it is likely that Tuesday will be a new day as well.

Castro praised Obama's recent moves to relax controls over Cuba, calling the measures "positive," but in Spanish. But he made it clear, also in Spanish, that the U.S. needs to return our naval base at Guantanamo Bay back to Cuba and lift the trade embargo, and anything else he could do--he said he'd really appreciate it.

On that note, Obama gave Castro a sly wink, as if they had already discussed the Guantanamo thing before.

Regarding the embargo, Castro said "That is essential, because the blockage remains in place, and it contains discouraging elements." The elements he may have been referring to might be a little extra pocket money for the dictators.

They love their money as much as they love their communism, as long as it isn't them who has to do the sharing.

When a reporter questioned Castro about political prisoners, he snidely asked the reporter to provide a list of those prisoners and he would release them by the end of the night. When the reporter handed him the list, he was escorted out of the building and has not been seen or heard from since yesterday.

After Castro answered some questions from other reporters, he quickly ended the news conference saying, "I think this is enough. I'm missing the final episode of Downton Abbey."

Both of the Obama girls and Michelle were treated to individual rolls of toilet paper and a free visit to The Dead Protesters Museum located throughout the island.
