Three Brits cum Kurds arrested by Greek authorities

Greece -- Greek police arrested a 40-year-old Iraqi Kurd in Thessaloniki, on the border crossing to Turkey, after finding he was carrying a large cache of weapons. The man is also a British citizen, police told the AP.

The weapons seized were four air rifles, eight scopes and about 200,000 22-caliber rounds.

Several hours before this arrest, the coast guard arrested two other British citizens, ages 35 and 36. They were carrying 18 rifles and only 40,000 rounds. The arrest took place in Alexandroupolis.

The coast guard reported that it was the arrest of the latter two individuals that led to the third suspect's arrest.

It's difficult to tell whether the arrests were a good thing or a bad thing as it is the Kurds who are supported by us in the fighting against the Assad regime.

But air rifles?

In a related story, the U.S. is asking Turkey to stop shelling Kurdish fighters in Northern Syria as they try to seize new ground before the ceasefire. If the Turks kill the Kurds, then who will fight ISIS for us?

We have asked the Kurds not to try expanding their territory and would like Turkey to be so kind as to not kill anymore Kurds. All of this fighting is not making for good allies with us and Turkey.

And Russia? Forget about it.
