Ohio "man" with long criminal record executes cop

Danville, Ohio-- I wonder how the BLM folks are going to spin this, or if they're even going to mention it at all--a Danville Officer Thomas Cottrell was executed by a loser named Herschel Ray Jones III.

Jones III (pronounced "Jones the Turd") has a long criminal history and according to his ex-girlfriend, had planned to target cops. He was arrested Monday and taken into custody at 1:30 A.M. after he tried to run from officers and was caught.

Officer Cottrell was killed just prior to midnight and his body was found behind the Danville Municipal Building, Knox County Sheriff David Shaffer said. His cruiser and service weapon were missing, but the cruiser was later found about a half mile from his body.

Jones III is 32 and has multiple convictions starting in 2001 for breaking and entering, burglary, receiving stolen goods and carrying a concealed weapon.

In 2011, he pled not guilty by reason of insanity but changed his plea to guilty and served almost four years for the conviction of receiving stolen property and possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs.

Unfortunately, due to the Obama administration's leniency on gun laws and felons in general, his sentence was a trifle and he was let out on the streets again in April.

An alert came at around 11:20 P.M. from Jones' ex-girlfriend who told a police dispatcher that Jones had weapons and was looking to kill an officer.

The authorities attempted to contact Officer Cottrell, but there was no response from him. That prompted a search of the village where they found his body.

Herschel Ray Jones III did not obtain his weapons from gun shows or through other legal channels--he's a freaking criminal--he isn't permitted to own a firearm. He obtained the weapons illegally. And he cowardly assassinated an unsuspecting cop.

Jones isn't a man; he is trash.

What happened to Officer Cottrell would not have happened if gun laws and other violent offender laws were actually adhered to. The problem isn't the guns; the problem is the enforcement of the laws.

I sincerely hope that BLM can come to agree that ALM.
