Obama the guileless

Iran symbolically flipped the bird to the Obama administration by confirming Friday that heavily sanctioned Revolutionary Guard Quds Force Commander, General Qassem Soleimani traveled to Russia in July to make a weapons deal with Putin. The deal also discussed the S-300 missile system, says Reuters.

In fact, just this past June, Russia announced that it would send S-300 missiles to Iran.

The S-300 missile is a Russian-designed surface-to-air missile used to defend against aircraft and our Cruise missiles. Later models can also defend against ballistic missiles. So if, say, Iran launched a nuke at the USA, they could in effect shoot down any of our anti-missile missiles, and there wouldn't be enough marshmallows in existence to toast from the blast.

Our U.N. ambassador, Samantha Power, whose only accurate political assessment was when she referred to Hillary Clinton as "a monster," said that she is very concerned about the news about General Soleimani's Russian excursion.

The naive Power said, "Qassem Soleimani is subject to a UN travel ban and this travel ban requires all states to prohibit Qassem Soleimani from traveling to their nation and the only exception to that is if the Iran sanctions committee grants an exemption."

Samantha Power is a stupid as Obama and his gang of idiots to think for a second that Iran cares about honoring agreements with infidels.

According to FoxNews.com, the Obama administration didn't specifically blame Putin for hosting Soleimani. (Translation: "it's Putin's fault.")

White House press secretary Josh Not-very Earnest said, "I can't confirm these specific reports but it is an indication of our ongoing concerns with Iran and their behavior."

So why the hell did we do this deal with Iran if we cannot trust them? Why didn't we simply increase the sanctions and give Israel the green light to do what they need to do to stay safe? Why, at the very least, didn't we get something out of this deal, like four American hostages released, for example?

Mike Rogers, former head of the US House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, (where nary a liberal should roam) spoke about the situation on Friday.

"We should not underestimate what this means to our national security. A leading general in Iran just told the world that the United States of America is irrelevant and Russia welcomed him with open arms. Not only do Russia and Iran not fear us, they do not respect us. And that, is dangerous."

Five days after Soleimani arrived in Moscow, John Kerry, our so-called Secretary of State, assured Congress that pressure would remain on Soleimani.

Kerry lied--his default position.

"Under the United States' initiative, Qassem Soleimani will never be relieved of any sanctions," the man who replaced another empty pantsuit said.

Soleimani is responsible for the deaths of over 500 Americans in Iraq and had likely orchestrated the failed assassination attempt on the Saudi ambassador to the U.S. at a Washington D.C. restaurant.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) weighed in on Soleimani: "He's directly responsible for the murder of over 500 American servicemen in Iraq and part of this Iranian deal was lifting international sanctions on General Soleimani--the day General Soleimani flew back from Moscow to Iran was the day we believe Russia used cyber warfare against the joint chiefs."

This administration cannot leave office fast enough.
