Pope: "Abbas is an angel of peace"

"An appeaser is a person who feeds the alligator hoping it will eat him last"-Winston Churchill
Just days after the Vatican announced its recognition of the State of Palestine, Pope Francis met with Mahmoud Abbas, the President of Palestine, or "the land of make believe," and called him "an angel of peace."

This angel of peace must have laughed quietly to himself as the Pope basically did "an Obama," bowing to the jihadist and praising him. Abbas is an anti-Semite  who recently lauded the jihadist scum that murdered a rabbi. He said the killer will be a martyr in Paradise.

Maybe the Pope thought that Abbas' knowledge of who does and doesn't get into Paradise makes him an angel, but an angel of peace? I don't think so.

The Pope is either wearing blinders or willfully ignorant when it comes to Muslims. He doesn't see, or doesn't want to acknowledge, how they have been persecuting Christians around the world by burning churches, destroying holy objects, and even murdering them.

Maybe His Holiness never heard the story about Muslims who attend Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and are demanding the removal of crosses on campus in rooms where they pray because it "offends" them and prevents them from praying. The fact is, the school is private and are under no legal obligation to accommodate them.

I suppose these Muslims hate it when they don't have an opportunity to say the Faatiha, a prayer that's recited in every Rak'ah, at least 17 daily:

"All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exist). The Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything). Guide us to the Straight Way. The Way of those on whome You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your anger (such as the Jews), nor of those who went astray (such as the Christians). [my italics]
So why is the Pope appeasing Abbas when it's clear that the religion of the Palestinians is blasphemous against Christians and hateful against the Jews? If Abbas is an angel of peace, then Mohammad Atta was a misdirected pilot.

Careful, Your Holiness, don't bow too low, there's an alligator coming up behind you.
