Luke Somers an American freelance photographer was kidnapped in 2013 by al Qaeda in Yemen. He was killed on Friday when the U.S. tried to rescue him in a special operation inside the backward country.
The 33 year old Somers was badly injured when the team reached him, but at least he was still alive. The orthodox Muslims shot him as he tried to get away and reach the rescue team. No one on the team, was injured and ten scumbag militants were killed as was another hostage, Pierre Korkie, who worked for a South African group called the Gift of the Givers. Korkie gave his life.
Our so-called president, Barack Obama, released a statement which said that after watching MSNBC and learning of the rescue attempt failure and how great a guy he is, that he condemned the "barbaric murder" of Somers. Okay, he didn't mention MSNBC, but isn't that how he normally gets briefed about foreign matters?
Yemen's security chief, Major General Ali al-Ahmadi, said that al Qaeda planned to kill Somers on Saturday. This was why we tried to rescue him on Friday.
Meanwhile, at Georgetown University, presidential threat to the United States, Hillary Clinton spoke about how best to deal with our enemies. Part of what she said follows:
" . . . this is what we call 'Smart Power;' using every possible tool and partners to address peace and security, leaving no one on the sidelines, showing respect, even for one's enemies; trying to understand and insofar as psychologically possible, empathize with their perspective and point of view. Helping to define the problems, determine the solutions--that is what we believe in the Twenty-First Century will change, change the prospects for peace."
It doesn't take an advanced degree in political science or diplomacy to conclude that Hillary Clinton is an irrational leftist hack who hasn't the foggiest idea of what she's talking about.
Does this toad actually want us to say to Abu Bakr al-Bagdhadi: "We're very sorry to have offended you by our religions here in the West. We understand that you believe yours is not only better, but should be the only religion allowed to exist on earth. We know how frustrated you must feel by our infidelity toward the one and only Allah, but we had no idea how upset it would make you.
"Seriously, Abu, we don't want to fight you. We now understand the problems you face with the West, the problems you face with Israel and all those Jews who still refuse to die.
"We understand how you see them as the "Little Satan," and us as the "Big Satan." But you have to admit, at least we on the far left are doing our best to accomodate you and yours. We've even put Islamic teaching in our schools and we very rarely use Muslims in movies we make about terrorism. It's only white guys from Russian-sounding places that really don't exist. We're even discussing using Sharia Law and I just want to mention, my close aide and friend, Huma Abedin, is Muslim, as are some of my best friends."
