It Took 300 Kidnappings to Wake Up the Left

It's really sad that almost 300 young schoolgirls were kidnapped by the Islamic Nigerian terrorist group, Boko Haram, in April. Sadder still is that it took a tragedy of this proportion to wake up the left, including the Hollywood left, to voice anger and shock over it.

The politically correct cannot call this "misappropriation of gender-specific cargo," or something equally as passive, but the PC Police are saying that this act by the terrorist group is "hijacking Islam."

Now the Koran says that a man can have as many as 4 wives (except for Muhammed--he got an Allah dispensation for at least 9 and maybe as many as 12, but he doesn't count as a regular guy) but if the man can't handle the cost of 4 he should marry one or resort to "those whom your right hands possess" (4:3).

Don't be fooled, gentle blog reader--the meaning of "those your right hands possess" is Islamospeak for slave girls. Yes, the "holy" Koran allows Muslims to fornicate with slave girls.

And who becomes slave girls to jihadists?

They are the women captured in battle after their husbands are killed. The book explains that a Muslim is not allowed sexual relations with a woman married to another--except a slave girl: "And all married women (are forbidden unto you) save those (captives) whom your right hands possess. It is a decree of Allah for you" (4:24).

What Boko Haram is doing, is going by "the book." They are practicing an Islamic orthodox version of the religion. Don't let people fool you.

What is so frustrating, however, is how it took something so obviously wrong to get the left involved. This garbage has been going on since the Seventh Century.  At least even CNN is getting involved and Obama can't duck the issue. I'm sure he will issue an executive hashtag to deal with the problem.

But we can thank Hillary Clinton's State Department for refusing to name Boko Haram a terrorist organization, and even fighting the tag along the way. It took Lurch Kerry to label it as such, but I'm sure he did it reluctantly.

Currently, there are about 700,000 people held in slavery in Nigeria. It took the most recent 276 for anyone to really care.

In my latest novel, a New York reporter is taken hostage by terrorists. If POTUS refuses to release 3 Gitmo jihadists, the reporter will die in 24 hours—they will behead him and show it on the Internet. There is only one way out but the clock is ticking . . .
