Lies, More Lies, Damn Lies

The biggest insult to our freedom and democracy is the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare. In order to get it past the American people and pass it, we've been lied to by our president, lied to by Kathleen Sebelius, and liked to by Harry Reid and the rest of the Democrats. When people are lied to, the implication is that they will believe the lie that they're told, that they're uninformed, ignorant, or simply too stupid to know the truth.

Liberals believe(d) the lies: If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor; if you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan; your premiums will go down on an average of $2500 per year; the website is working. And so on.

It is unimaginable to think that a company would spend over $600 million on a website that did not work. And after the failure, the money spent was not returned--it's gone, lost. But no big deal--it was our tax money, not theirs. It's amazing to think that a manager who appears to have almost no knowledge of how the program is unfolding, and has failed so miserably to manage, to get the systems in place and make it viable, would not be immediately terminated, but that only happens in the private sector.

Worst of all, it's a travesty of how we view freedom and justice, that Obamacare was forced on us in the first place. I do not care that the Supreme Court deemed it Constitutional; it isn't. Obama claimed that it was not a tax, but that was the only way it was able to pass scrutiny.

Were we lied to? "If I don't balance the budget in three years, I will not be president." "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor . . . " and yadda yadda.
