And the Award Goes to Hillary

I think anyone would be hard-pressed to come up with another woman who has won as many awards as Hillary Clinton has ever since coming of age. It all began in 1983 when she won Arkansas' Woman of the Year, an award handed out by the Arkansas Democrat, a left-leaning paper. The very same year Hillary won "Headliner of the Year," gifted to her by the Arkansas Press Association. The following year, she was named Arkansas (Young) Mother of the Year and honorary doctorates followed that for years to come. In both 1988 and 1991, Hillary was named by National Law Journal as one of the top 100 influential lawyers in America, and they never mentioned how, when serving on the House Judiciary Committee under Jerry Zeifman way back in 1974, that she was fired from her job and given a few choice labels. Perhaps they never mentioned it because it came before all those awards.

Zeifman, a Democrat, called Hillary a "liar" and added that she is "an unethical, dishonest lawyer." The law brief she presented, Zeifman said, was so fraudulent and ridiculous, she would have been disbarred had she submitted it to a judge. She had argued that Nixon shouldn't be allowed legal counsel for the Watergate impeachment proceedings due to lack of precedent. But Clinton deliberately ignored the case of Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas, who was permitted counsel during the impeachment attempt against him in 1970. (Kind of like how she ignored the calls imploring her department for more security in Benghazi.) But worse than that, Zeifman claims she bolstered her fraudulent brief by removing all of the Douglas files from public access and hiding them in her office. This allowed her to argue against Nixon being granted legal counsel as if the Douglas case never happened.

When the Watergate probe ended, Zeifman fired Hillary and refused to give her a letter of recommendation. This was not a habit of Zeifman's who had only done this two other times in his 17-year career.

The reason Hillary wanted to keep "Tricky Dicky" from having counsel was out of fear that E. Howard Hunt, the break-in mastermind of the plot, would be called to the stand for cross-examination by Nixon's lawyer. Hunt, said Zeifman, had evidence of unlawfully sneaky activity by President John F. Kennedy and his administration, (including using the mafia to try and assassinate Fidel Castro),and the Democrats would rather lose an important body part than besmirch the Kennedy name.

But let's forget about that little "impropriety" of Hillary, and while we're at it, let's also forgive and forget those improprieties of Bill Clinton who did not have sex with that woman, Miss Lewinsky.

So, in 1993, Hillary received an honorary doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania and served as commencement speaker that year.

1994 she got the Living Legacy Award from the Women's International Center in recognition of "her vast contributions in so many fields, especially honoring her work for women and children." That same year, a tulip was cultivated and named for her in The Netherlands.

In 1995 New York University Annual Survey of American Law dedicated its 52nd volume to her. The same year, Mount Saint Vincent University awarded her with an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters.

A Grammy Award followed in 1997 for Best Spoken Word Album for "It Takes a Village." Joe the-Village-Idiot-Biden was not on hand to support Hillary for that one--he was too busy making fast-food-joint Indian jokes.

I could go on ad nauseum but I respect you, my readers, too much to do that to you. I will just say that as of now, the count for awards and honorary this-and-thats stands at about 58 in total. That's almost as many awards given to Hillary as there are successfully covered Americans today under Obamacare. The awards she has received are as significant as her actual accomplishments of which there were very few.

The idea of awards has become like the liberal idea of trophies--everyone deserves one because they participated. We are not exceptional--that would be racist or something to somebody on the left if we gave awards for winners. No, we are a nation of mediocre and that's good enough for the left.

For Hillary Rodham Clinton, her record of failures far outweighs her successes. Her failure to establish and meet standards and adopt a cohesive plan for Benghazi is, to me, the strongest example of her leadership weakness. If she somehow becomes our next president, she will be elected not on her merit but on her gender. It's like the infatuation America had with Obama. It's called 'infatuate love' and it is love at its strongest when the least is known about the object of that love. We knew nothing about Obama when we elected him other than the fact that he is black/white, and as Biden said, "he's intelligent and clean." What we know about Hillary Clinton should be the catalyst that puts a Republican in the White House. What we now know about Obama is that maybe he isn't so intelligent after all.
