What's Obama really doing in the Middle East and Libya? I believe he is doing a confusing tap dance. Putin has made him look like an amateur executive, and I don't see why anyone would be surprised at that. He wants to do a pin prick strike, but "Our military never does a pin prick strike;" he went along with Putin's offer of taking the chemical weapons off the hands of the Syrians, Putin insisted the US not attack Syria under any circumstances, but our Nobel Peace Prize winner wasn't comfortable with that--he wanted the ability to strike if necessary. But then again, Obama has waffled for two years over Syria and the emergency they were having with the civil war there.

The rebels seem like pretty nice guys, especially if you're a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. Obama, at the very least, is an honorary member, and that seems clear from what we've seen with Egypt. My gut feeling is that our president is sympathetic to the Muslim Brotherhood--perhaps he never read their charter which, in part says: "The Ikhwan [Arabic for brothers] must understand that the work in America is a king of grand jihad to eliminate and destroy the Western civilization from within, and sabotage its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers, so that it is eliminated, and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions."
Pamela Geller, of www.AtlasShrugs.com said of Obama, and I paraphrase, "He might not be Muslim, but he is doing nothing as president that a Muslim wouldn't do." I agree with her, and I also believe he probably is a Muslim and has sympathy for the Brotherhood. I base this merely on how he registered for school in Indonesia, the fact that his father and step-father were Muslims, and according to the religion, the kids of a Muslim, are Muslim. The only "proof" I have of that he is sympathetic to the Muslim Brotherhood is what I've observed in the Middle East, Egypt, and Syria.
Obama is hopeful that Kerry's meeting in Geneva with the Russian Foreign Minister will lead to concrete results: Assad will give up the gas, avoid our military action, and Barry gets away with acting foolish. He had nothing to say publicly about Putin's Op Ed in the Old Gray Commie Lady, The New York Times. Boehner said he was insulted by the Op Ed; Menendez said he wanted to vomit, but he had just finished a luncheon and we aren't sure whether he was referring to the food or the statement.
The is no absolute, definitive proof that Assad's regime were the culprits responsible for the use of chemical weapons against the rebels, rather than it being the other way around, but I suspect Susan Rice has the correct answer as she did about the cause of the Benghazi terror attack last year.
Obama might one day thank Putin for lecturing him on Syria. We Americans don't like it when a foreign leader says bad things about our country--especially a dictator responsible for so many deaths in Kosovo. We might actually stand behind Obama, which means we'll be behind the leader who leads from behind. How much behinder can you get?
