We Cannot Afford the Affordable Care Act but We Need to Use it

The Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare, is President Barack Hussein Obama's signature bill. This is like saying Twitter is what made Anthony Weiner famous. But there appears to be some disagreement as to what the GOP ought to do in dealing with this "law" that has been deemed a tax in order for it to be Constitutional.

Rather than going into the positions that Republicans have taken on this, I've decided to simply discuss what I believe may be useful to get rid of Obamacare and possibly a bunch of Democrats in the process. I am not a politician, but I believe life experience sometimes teach us the best way to go about things.

Early in my working career, I had the privilege of working for a large corporation that used a time accountability system that may have worked for other areas of the country, but would hardly work in New York City, where I am from. My co-workers fought it tooth and nail but the company insisted that it was a good system and we might as well get used to it because it wasn't going to go away.

What the company said was that to do a specific function for the job we were doing, an allotted period of time was predetermined to complete each specific task, and this is how long the task should take--no excuses. What the company failed to account for, of course, is that there would be individual differences, some people with more experience would be finished much faster than newbies, and there would be "extra" time left over.

I realized the best way to defeat this stupid system was to use it to the letter of the law, (or in this case, the letter of the policy). So those of us with the most experience were finished with our daily work much earlier than the newbies or those who had to travel further to each job than people working in Manhattan. Yes, that was another variable they forgot to consider. This was how I was able to go to graduate school and still hod down a full-time job.

Eventually, the company gurus caught on and the system was changed to one more realistic. I believe the same will happen to Obamacare if we let it run its course. We need to let it fail if we're confident that it's designed to fail, which I believe it is. It will also take away liberal ammunition that will somehow blame the GOP for the way the bill is failing the people. I say let it fail the people and the Democrats may just change their thinking.
